The Desert Set

With so much storyboard work to do it's been difficult finding the time to tie up loose ends on BHB. But I'm getting there. With Steve Cypreos giving so much of his spare time to finishing the blend shapes for Stinky and helping me finalize the Interior Saloon set, I've put aside the re-boarding of Bunny's entry in the saloon for now in favor of finishing the desert set.

All the elements are in place, now for the smoothing and fine tuning. Things are finally falling into place and this part of the journey is almost done, then comes the texturing and lighting. The funds I raised early this year through Indiegogo will help with that.

P.S. Am planning another campaign soon.

Reboarding and Set Building

It's been much too long since my last update. Lots has happened, first I've been inundated with storyboard work which has been keeping me busy and  away from the film. Yet, on the plus side I am raising some funds to help with the completion of the project.

About a month ago, I was convinced by my previz artist Chris to rework the interior saloon segment. That was actually good for me because I've been thinking about it for a while. When I originally started the board it was meant to be a one off short, almost a homage to Warner Bros. Obviously as it grew so did the vision, without giving anything away the changes factor that in. The decrepit old guy up top is the result of that change. He won't move much, just his left arm and eyes.

So there's that, but in the mean time sets have been polished off and are almost ready for texturing and the first third of the short is being prevized.

I'm excited about the new direction, it's more me while still paying tribute to the stuff I love and grew up with.
